A 360 storytelling approach to break through holiday clutter

With declining mall traffic and a lukewarm outlook on holiday spending, Oakley – a sports and lifestyle brand typically known for their sunglasses – needed a window solution that would breakthrough holiday clutter, educate shoppers that they were more than just eyewear and get passersby inside their stores. And we had a month to get it done.

Miller Zell took a 360 storytelling approach to design by turning the windows into a window catalogue, highlighting the entire Oakley product portfolio.

Bringing the outdoors in

Our designers backlit the gifts, making them leap out against the black and white outdoor backdrop.

The design team worked with our engineers upfront to make sure the design could be translated into the various retail spaces including malls and New York City streets.

With our Project Managers on the case, Miller Zell was able to get 100 windows implemented with more than 4 variations in a month’s time – just in time for the holiday rush.
