ATLANTA, GA, Feb. 22, 2021 – Miller Zell CEO Chip Miller earned “Executive Champion — Small Company” honors in the 2021 Leaders in Corporate Citizenship Awards as presented by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
This honor, according to the press release, “recognizes individuals who have found the perfect intersection of social good and corporate success by integrating relevant societal concerns into their core operating strategies and embracing them as positive for businesses, customers, employees and the metro Atlanta community.”
“This honor is truly about our company and our many associates who care so much about helping others and supporting our community,” Miller said. “I appreciate the Atlanta Business Chronicle for putting corporate social responsibility front and center. I am humbled to be recognized and to share this award with the many folks at Miller Zell who make our company culture so inspiring.”
Miller started working at Miller Zell in 1989 and has been CEO since 2015.
Charity and community development live at the heart of Miller Zell’s core values and corporate mission.
The Miller Zell Charities Foundation and our associates raise money and volunteer for many causes including breast cancer and Alzheimer’s research, the Lupus Foundation, Habitat for Humanity and local schools and community organizations. Every year since 2009, members of the Miller Zell Soles team have walked in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day breast cancer research fundraiser, and many walk multiple events each year.
Miller Zell actively sponsors deserving organizations like the Special Olympics, Wellspring Living and the Alzheimer’s Association. For more than a decade, we’ve hosted an Annual Charity Golf Classic, which has raised nearly $600,000 dollars for breast cancer research.
