ATLANTA, GA, Sept. 15, 2022 — Miller Zell announces new or updated disaster and emergency initiatives during National Preparedness Month.
These policies and procedures are designed and implemented by Miller Zell’s Environment, Health and Safety stakeholders and the Emergency Response Team (ERT). The ERT maintains safety standards and procedures, including establishing evacuation maps, assembly locations and severe weather shelters and providing chemical spill kits.
It recently created an eight-step emergency protocol for our offices in Atlanta. Other disaster and emergency initiatives include:
“We're always trying to make our safety protocols better for the company,” said Birdley James, Miller Zell’s Sustainable Green Printing/Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator and Compliance Manager.
“Along with the committees, courses and training, we update important information on our internal digital screens. We want to make sure that we keep employees informed and engaged so they're prepared and confident when we face a real emergency.”
